GPS trail recording and mapping for property owners and trail builders
Download Free on Google PlayWhether you're laying out a hunting property, building a mountain bike trail system, or mapping an ATV network — TrailMapper gives you the tools to record it, connect it, and hand it off to the property owner in a format they can actually use.
GPS-accurate trail segments. Exportable KML and GPX. No subscriptions, no cloud account required.
Walk, ride, or drive your trail lines while TrailMapper records the GPS path in the background. Connect segments into a full network, add points of interest, then export the whole thing as a KML or GPX file the property owner can drop straight into Google Earth or OnX.
Trail builders can also tie excavator work quotes directly to trail segments — keeping job scope and pricing in one place instead of scattered across notes and spreadsheets.
Records trail segments via a background foreground service using fused location. Keep your phone in your pocket while the line gets laid down.
Connect segments into a full trail network. Endpoint snapping, trail splitting, and edit mode let you clean up the map after the fact.
Export your full trail network as KML or GPX. Works directly with Google Earth, Google My Maps, OnX, and most other mapping tools.
9 preset POI types with canvas-drawn icons — gates, water crossings, parking areas, hazards, and more. Pinned to coordinates on the map.
Generate line-item excavator quotes tied to trail segments. Share quotes as a formatted summary for the property owner or client.
OSMDroid-powered offline tile caching so the map works in the field without cell service. No Google Maps billing.
Sparkline elevation profile per trail segment so you know what the grade looks like before you start cutting.
Back up your property data to Google Drive or any local location via Android's Storage Access Framework. No account required.
Record, map, and quote trail work for clients. Hand off a KML when the job is done.
Map your hunting property, ATV trails, or horse paths. Import the KML into Google Earth and share with guests.
Plan flow and layout before you start digging. Export to OnX or Trailforks for the riders.
Document trail systems on managed land. Maintain records of segment locations and trail network structure.
Record guest routes, waypoints, and hazard markers. Export route data for trip planning and documentation.

TrailMapper is built on a simple principle: your trail data is yours. We don't collect it, store it, or sell it.
All data you enter — properties, trail segments, GPS coordinates, POIs, and quotes — is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. Nothing is transmitted to ProDirt LLC servers because there are none.
TrailMapper uses your device's GPS to record trail paths while recording is active. A persistent foreground notification is displayed whenever location recording is in progress. Location data stays on your device.
Background map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap servers via OSMDroid. No personal data or GPS coordinates are included in tile requests.
If you choose to back up your data, TrailMapper uses Android's Storage Access Framework. You pick where the backup goes — local storage, Google Drive, or elsewhere. ProDirt LLC has no access to your backup files.
