How It Works

Enter your real costs once in your Cost Profile. From that point on, every job estimate is automatically calculated using your numbers.

The margin slider lets you adjust in real time — push it up for a difficult site, pull it back for a repeat client. The floor price stays locked so you can't accidentally quote yourself into a loss.

FieldQuote is built on a simple principle: your business data is yours. We do not collect it, store it, or sell it.

Data Storage

All data you enter — cost profiles, jobs, quotes, client information — is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. Nothing is transmitted to ProDirt LLC servers because there are none.

Google Drive Backup

If you choose to enable backup in Settings, FieldQuote will back up your data to your personal Google Drive using the drive.appdata scope. This means:

Backup files are stored in a hidden app folder visible only to FieldQuote
ProDirt LLC has no access to your Google Drive or backup files
Backup is entirely opt-in — the app functions fully without it

Location & Address Data

FieldQuote uses your device location (with your permission) to auto-fill your current position when calculating job distances. Address autocomplete and distance calculation use the OpenRouteService API — your search queries are sent to OpenRouteService's servers to return results. No query data is retained by ProDirt LLC.

Internet Permissions

The app requires internet access for: address autocomplete, distance calculation, and Google Drive backup. All three are optional features — the core quoting functionality works entirely offline.

Third-Party Services

OpenRouteService: Used for address autocomplete and drive distance calculation. Subject to their privacy policy at openrouteservice.org.
Google Drive API: Used for optional backup. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
